Can progesterone mimic signs of Pregnancy?

I am on prescription lozenges and I also have suppositories from the pharmacy. I have only used the suppositories a couple of times this cycle but I am trying to take the lozenges twice a day. ALso, I had to give myself a high dose of some injection, I think it was HCG.. supposed to mimic pregnancy to help with implantation. I am thinking this is what is causing the sore tatas, and I am just feeling wierd in general. I am in the 2ww and I am basically waiting for AF to come- will not to a HPT unless period is late. Has anyone else experienced symptoms while on progesterone.

Ok, thank you. I sure hope it is a BFP but I cant help but be cynical due to my history and infertility issues. I guess I will just wait and see what happens.

Absolutely.  My OB had me take progesterone right after ovulation (as opposed to when I get a bfp) a couple of cycles.  I had very sore breasts and it also delayed AF.  I think it is pretty common to see that happen.  I'm with the others though, and sure hope it's due to pregnancy!

I agree with Scout. Progesterone supplements does often cause pregnancy-like symptoms...and the injection you received contains the actual pregnancy hormone (HCG); so yes, that combination could definitely make you feel pregnant. But let's hope it is in fact pregnancy symptoms and not just the supplements! Best of luck!

I think that it does that.  When I was on it i was about 4-5 weeks pregnant and the nurse asked me about my symptoms and when i told her she stated that those can either be pregnancy related or progesterone related.  i've heard that it will magnify pregnancy symptoms and then I also read a whole other thread where everyone on there was saying that progesterone did mimic pregnancy symptoms.

good luck.  hope it pregnancy related!!
