Can you get pregnant in 1 week

If you have sex on the 17th and take a urine pregnancy test on the 23rd and it comes out positive, did you get pregnant on the 17th or before the 17th.  Thanks

You have to wait till you're due at least one day , your hormones level is not high enough to detect pregnancy.Wait till you're due and then get a test.good luck!

Technically yes, but its not really that simple a question to answer.  If you have an average 28 day menstrual cycle, starting from the first day of your last period, count 14 days.  If that day falls on or a few days after the 17th when you had sex, then yes you could have gotten pregnant then.  5 days is awfully early to get a positive, it usually takes at least 10 days to have enough HCG in your system for a positive, but I guess stranger things have happened.  Its probably a bit more likely that you got pregnant before that though.  Anyway, I am no expert, but thats how I understand it. I don't think there is anyway to know for sure. Good luck to you.
