Castor oil

I'm due next Sunday but I don't feel like waiting, I'm really anxious. So I was thinking about drinking castor oil to speed things up. Has anyone else done that?

And they also say it won't work if your baby isn't ready

Acupuncture is very effective and safe...maybe find a licensed acupuncturist and tell him/her you want help starting labor. I did this with my first.

Don't be in a hurry. I know the last week or so is the hardest because you just want your baby, but don't rush them. It's always better  to let your body and the baby decide when the time is right for labor. Enjoy sleeping, going to restaurants, watching a movie...all the things you'll miss in a few weeks.

Taking castor oil can lead to meconium aspiration which can easily cause pneumonia in the newborn. Speeding up labor only to end up spending a week or more in the NICU is not worth it. Drink water and stay active and be patient. Nobody has ever been pregnant forever. You can make it - the end is in sight. Don't put your baby at risk when you're so close.

Everyone is different but they say your baby can poop inside of you and that's not good

Dr wouldn't recommend it cause most girls I know their bubs ended up with complications at birth. My nephew was very sick when he was born due to castor oil. Even mothers ended up sick etc
