What is happening???

I am 34 and have two children ages 5, 13 who were both carried o term with healthy pregnacies.  m last period was 1/11 and on 2/15 i had a positive test. according to those calculations i should be about 9.5 weeks. however on 3/3 i went to the emergency because i had spotting that weekend, and the transvaginal ultrasound did not detect anything. i repeated a sono on 3/10 . there was a sac but no signs of fetus, and again yesterday the same thing. my hcg levels are rising , i have had my blood drawn 5  times in 3 weeks. but the dr.s and radiology techs are putting me at 6.5 weeks ( i guess according to my sono). is it possible for me to have gotten pregnant two days after my period was due. i am really scared and tired of waiting. My nurse Practitioner told me today to prepare for this not to be a viable pregnancy . if they know that hen why wont they do something about it and stop me and my hubby from suffering. it is very painful waiting around for a miscarriage. does anyone have suggestions on what i should do. i have kind of made up my mind that if we do not see anything next week, which would put me at 77.5 weeks, i will ask for a D&C or that pill i have heard about.

Tired and Scared.

Couldn't get hb at 9 weeks and got it at 12 weeks.  DS is now 7.  Don't give up, but cautious optimism might be a good way to look at things.

I was 7.3 weeks before they saw a heartbeat and fetal pole. I'm 31.3 weeks now :0)

you need to wait because a few women on here have been told to have a d&c and waiting and later saw a h/b and everything was fine...  just wait it out a bit and see if you get a h/b first.. I know it is hard but they really don't know if it will be viable or not... only god knows that dear
