constipation

Hello I'm 15 w pregnant and hardly going to the loo. I'm feeling bloated and sick. I've been given lactoluse but hate drinking it. I'm also not enjoying this pregnancy. This is my rainbow baby after a stillbirth last year. I'm always tired and cry a lot. Anyone give me advice please.

My doc told me to take colace stool softener for constipation during pregnancy. Mine was horrible with my last pregnancy and the colace really worked. I hope u get to feeling better. Keep your chin up one of your biggest blessings is about to arrive!

Try more fiber like cereal. Also, try watermelon to help you go. I know this sounds weird but during my last pregnancy someone on here shared this tip....when you are on the lo, prop your feet up on something a foot off the ground. Prop each foot up separately and towards you. Almost like your squatting.  Don't prop them up like your relaxing, if that makes sense. This position will help you go. I know sounds weird when I heard it. I got desperate and tried it and sat there for 5 minutes. It worked!

I understand about not enjoying this pregnancy.  This is my last pregnancy and we had 2 miscarriages in a year before this one. So fae, I am sick all the time. I got severe carpal tunnel in my right hand and mommies thum. I can't even use it and the pain is a 20 out of 10. All I can have is Tylenol since I am pregnant.  Now with all this going on, I get a horrible cold that is turning into something else. I totally feel you on not enjoying this pregnancy.  However,  as my husband reminds me, I wanted this.

Hang in there mama. I wish you all the best and hope it gets better for you soon. If you need to talk, I am here to listen.

It sounds silly maybe but are you also taking the prenatal vitamins. I also take extra B12 which is good for energy as well as an extra calcium magnesium and vitamin D3 and folic acid. It's worked wonders for my health and energy and mood.
Lactulose is a sugar. There are lots of other treatments for constipation if you don't like lactulose.

hang in there!! things will become easier for sure, your body is working so hard to sustain there baby. I found that I felt a lot better by 16 weeks, certainly by 20 weeks and in the scheme of things that's just a few more weeks to get through. be gentle on yourself. I don't know what lactoluse is but I guess it's a fiber supplement, is it selenium? prunes are old fashioned but really help. keep your fluids up, I also take magnesium mineral powder which helps me feel better. I believe the sickness is a sign that everything is going as it should so just try and accept it a little longer
