Constipation help

I am just over 7 weeks pregnant and already the constipation has set in. I have always had severe constipation before pregnancy but now it's worse. I am taking miralax, drinking plenty of water and eating high fiber foods.... Before I was pregnant I took Senna tea once or twice per week and it helped all of the time! I am desperate and may have to take some. Anyone else with tips or tricks.... I don't want this to get out of control :/ thanks!!

Take colace, it's a stool softener and safe for pregnant women...that along with a small amount of prune juice...don't over do the prune juice though, it'll cause gas and upset tummy...i usually go with maybe 4oz. that does the trick for me.

I am wondering if the miralax is making me worse. I actually ended up having to have an enema last night :( I've just been miserable. I'm going to see about the Metamucil

Try the orange flavored Metamucil.  It keeps me regular & with ease. The Mira lax & co Kacey made me more constipated.

When I was pregnant it was horrible but my doc told me prune juice mixed with milk of magnesia. She warned me it would taste terrible but it works for constipation
