My doctor tested everything that would make a pregnancy falter. That day they took 14 vials of blood. Try Protein S, Protein C, any chromosonal bloodwork, estrogen levels to sustain the pregnancy, blood levels, whether you're anemic or not. Those should be a good start. Also start taking prenatal vitamins now to prep your womb.
Thank You so much Hunni, is there a specific test I should be asking for'?
Very good choice. The first time was with a doctor's office I had had since I was young. He was not sympathetic and was confusing. I left that office and went to an all womens office that could give me answers. Have them check for Protein S deficiency. Every one of my pregnancies terminated about the same time about 8 weeks. What they found is that everytime I got pregnant my blood clotted too much and cut off blood supply to the baby and made the heart stop beating. Since yours are going a little longer, have them check for that. It may be clotting too much a little later in your pregnancy. Also have them check the strength of your uterus. I have some friends that kept miscarrying about 4-5 months because the heavier the baby got the cervix couldn't take the weight and they would go into labor. The solution to that is whats called a circlogue. They sew your cervix shut to accommodate the weight and then when the baby is viable they take it out and you deliver the baby. Check it out. Also have them check to see if you have a tilted uterus. That affects how you carry the baby too but the circlogue should help keep the baby in. Good luck!
No the first time was August last Year when I was just on 5 months, the second was January when I was 8 weeks and than the third was last month when I was 4 and a half months. Not so close together and No I have not been and had more tests done as of Yet as I have been told I am young and healthy and the time must have just not been right so I plan on seeing another doctor because it doesn't seem normal to just happen.
Thanks guys. I'll give it a shot. I know not trying always makes it happen. Princess, did you miscarry 3 times in a row and did they find the problem? I revel in the fact that women my age are getting pregnant. When I saw that John travoltas wife is pregnant and 47 I felt like theres nothing wrong with it. My father-in-law when he found out my pregnacy was not viable he tells my husband "well you're not getting any younger." Good thing i'm not a depressing person. I ignore ignorance. I'm 44, 45 in October and don't smoke, drink, drug and have eaten healthy for the last 12 years. My mom didn't go through menopause until she was mid to late 50's.
I know I am "Sorry"
I also fell pregnant after keeping my mind occupied with other things and finally being able to not dwell on wanting to be pregnant and waiting eagerly each month
Can you try to take a short vacation or even a relax week-end? I got pregnant 10 months after my D&C (D&C was 3rd miscarriage) on a 3-days vacation at Yellowstone last August, I was ultra relax and I believe it helped - this time I did not miscarry.
You know i've heard that before and actually got pregnant without intentionally trying. Easier said than done. I run 3 businesses and try to shut down in the evenings so its hectic.
I know that it is easier said than done and I am "Sorry" You are going through this but I have been told the easiest way to fall pregnant is to stop trying. I know to stop is hard and is not as easy as just stopping but to distract yourself. The stress of wanting to be pregnant could be stopping the process. I wish you the best of luck
