Depression

Im a 40 yr old single pregnant woman. Im 11wks and I find myself really sad. Crying all the time. Lost 5 lbs in one month. Thinking of "wht if I die in labor room. Scared due to my age and not being financial stable. Is this normal to have bad thoughts all the time?

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do know that things will get better. I know you're overwhelmed and discouraged, but God has you in the palm of His hand. You are not alone, He is right there with you.

Ladies it's very common to have these feelings during pregnancy, remember your hormones are surging you have a new little person growing inside you so you will worry about everything and anything all these feelings will settle
Down in time but if your feeling overwhelmed and anxious still talk to your GP they can refer you to mimhs team which help pregnant women and will help you through your pregnancy and after baby is born to support and make sure post natal depression doesn't creep in. And ladies once that little bundle is in your hands any small
Worry etc is worth every second. Good luck :)

Oh, and yes is normal to start having those thoughts, you are naturally worried about anything and everything that could go wrong when you have kids/get pregnant! You are totally normal!

Depression during pregnancy is actually more common than you think.  Happens to me during the first trimester and then thankfully starts to go away in the second trimester. You have to remind yourself , recognize and acknowledge what's going on- realize it's only a temporary state of mind, you're being affected by hormones and all the changes going on in your body.  Hang in there, it WILL get better.  If it doesn't, talk to your doctor and get some help. Even someone who's never had any issues with depression can get it during pregnancy or after giving birth. Both are totally normal, although it's definitely no fun! Try watching some funny movies!!

Hang in there and sending you all my love! I am 15 weeks and its my first pregnancy and I'm fighting to extreme levels with my partner and might well be doing it alone soon. My moods have been completely erratic and I feel depressed also. My heart goes out to anyone else experiencing similar issues and I send you all my love.

Thank you Rosie.. We should b happy! Picking out names looking at baby stuff. Ive been hearing sounds of the ocean, relaxing sounds on utube that help me alot. And makes me fall asleep.Ive stop talking to the people who have negative comments. It was hard cus one of them is my mother! But not a phone call of how am i doing feeling or anything.. But I have to think whats best for me and my baby health. I've been praying and put all my worries to the Lord and honesty I can say i see the difference now in just a couple of days.. Also go for walks on the beach or anywhere where there is a view. Thanks for your love and remember im here too for you!
