Early Symptoms

I had previously posted a question about how early in a pregnancy can you experience a miscarriage.  Now I am wondering how early after conception can one start to feel symptoms of pregnancy?  As early as within the first week?

Every women and every pregnancy is different.  I always start with headaches, and they can be as soon as 7 days after ovulation.  I have also had a positive pregnancy test as soon as 7 dpo (with a very sensitive HPT such as First Response).  The only word of caution I would give you is that things like progesterone supplements can also cause pregnancy "like" symptoms.  So can pre menstrual symptoms.  Pregnancy symptoms are primarily caused by an increase of progesterone, so they can be confused with other things.  In my case, I know there have been months I was absolutely convinced I was pregnant when I wasn't.  Not trying to discourage at all, but if you are a week or so post ovulation and think you might be pregnant, I would go ahead and take a very sensitive HPT or see your Dr. for a Beta/HCG.  Good luck, I sure hope this is your month!!

I didn't have any signs of pregnancy the only reason I took a hpt at 10dpo was because I wanted to jump in the hot tub and I wanted to make sure I wasn't doing it with a hpt+ on board...... we were trying. Almost immediately after that though my boobs and nipples started acting up.....and didn't stop for at least two months, now they are bearable.

Funny you should mention that. I am 10DPO and have some cramping like a period...yet I haven't had period cramps for 22 years. I thought maybe it was implantation. I've had 3 kids and never paid attention at the time. I just knew when I was late, took the test and it was positive. Now with ttc and having trouble, I look for every little sign. I don't think there are many signs within the first week after conception. If any of you other ladies who have been at this longer can shed some light that would be great. Best of luck to you "olderone".
