Eggs?

Can I still get pregnant naturally after a miscarriage w/ diminished ovarian reserve. I'm waiting to hear back from the doctor about any chromosomal abnormality with my miscarriage. If it comes back positive, does that mean all my eggs are fried? I know at 40 y.o. my chances are not the same as when I was younger. But I met woman 3-4 years older with a healthy pregnancy. Thanks for your support.

I had a miscarriage at 19 - the reason was probably chromosonal abnormality w/the embryo.

That being said, m/c's can occur at any age but at 40 the odds go up because of egg quality; however, there are many women on this forum who've gotten pregnant w/diminished ovarian reserve so don't give up especially since you're trying to get pg by natural means.  If it were by IVF, well, that would be a different story.  Best of luck and I'm sorry about your m/c - jen

One pregnancy with a chromosonal abnormality doesn't at all mean they are all that way.  There is story after story on here (myself included) of one or more miscarriages followed by a healthy one.  Yes, at 40 our chances of getting a healthy egg diminish, however the fact that you got pregnant is a great sign.  It took me awhile to get a healthy one, but here I am now 15 weeks with what is so far a healthy pregnancy.  I am so sorry for your loss, but please don't let this miscarriage deter you. There is still healthy ones in there.  By the way, curious, how do you know you have a diminished ovarian reserve?  Were you tested for that?  Good luck to you!
