thanks ladies, I'm feeling better today but he did say it might take a while for my tail bone to heal completely.
Andrea- It could happen, he said it all depends on how hard the landing. But my placenta stayed in place and didn't start coming off. All my other tests come back okay so they don't look for me to go into full labor any time soon. My contractions were really crazy, they said not like the normal contractions but they also wouldn't go away with me just resting so they gave me a shot.
Jenn- Andrew is something else, has to be my most comical kid that's for sure! But the best thing is... he will always make you laugh! (Intentionally or not).. hehehe
Patty - your story about Andrew made me laugh so hard!! He does sound like a lil' stinker! Out of curiousity, is he having trouble getting around w/the air cast?
How are you feeling today? Your poor tailbone! Gosh if it's not one thing, it's another!!! I'm glad that the contractions have stopped - again, so glad that you got checked - whew....
Gee Patty, We know you've been feelin good and only gained a few pounds but that doesn't mean take up ice skating!! LOL. ....Really though, I'm so glad all of you are ok. Does an impact like that cause contractions to start often?? Did the DR. say??
We have gotten hammered with snow this year in PA too. We are like 3ft above average in snow fall and like 20 degrees below reg. temps. Global warming seems to have forgotten north west Pa.....but it shouldn't be long now....Before ya know it you and Brayden will be enjoying a nice summer day and us preggy girls will be cryin it's to hot to leave the house!!
WOW girl thats some news! I am so glad your alright and doing well! Tare care!
Holy ****, now that is a scare, stay away from the outsid till the ice is clear and dont go doing too much just cuz you feel a little better let that little one cook just a little while longer at least 3 more weeks . Im glad all is okay
Thanks Ladies.. taking it easy today because my tail bone is killing me! Other then that no contractions! YAY!!
Montie- I've been put on "rest as much as possible". DH says I need to stay in bed until I have Brayden...ahaha.. yeah right! I am going to take it really easy and be more careful!
Vanessa- I just felt this tightening in my stomach right around my belly button, and pressure like Brayden wanted to come falling out! It didn't hurt really, just really uncomfortable!! Something was telling me *something* just wasn't right, yanno.. like hmm.. why is this going on this long... must be checked out!! Glad I did! But the doctor did say that the last trimester is really when RLP really kicks in and that is the majority of *false labor pains*. But she also said better to be safe then sorry and always be checked out if something doesn't feel right to you or the pain lasts more then just a few minutes in more then one location. My pain was generalized to my stomach, but the pressure in my who-haa was another story!! That was just weird!!
Patty, I also had to have contractions stopped and I was weeks at the time. It took two rounds of the terbutiline (spelling?) to get them stopped and then bedrest for a week after that. It was really days after my release from the hospital that they really stopped being consistent. Have you been put on bedrest???
Take it easy. It is scary and too early but they can stop them so try not to worry too much.
Good luck!
lol gee thanks girl!!!! ;P
I feel sometimes like 'the rubberband' you say... but just on one side... or close to my groin area... but not the whole uterus... so i'm thinking is muscles... and i might be contracting and not even know about it! =S
Patty... just take it real easy girlfriend! just 9 weeks to go! =)
Wow.... that was close....glad to hear your ok...becareful :)
Girl, you lay in bed and don't move for a week!
yea... you know.. my first one I didnt even fill the contractions. scary...Even after my water broke! Thank goodness.
now I do fill the braxton hicks now.so I think I will be so lucky to fill them with this one. Im sure I will be in for a surprise too vsent. lol..
I know with the braxtons... my tummy will get real hard and fill like a rubberband squeezing me low. reallly strange.. gets your attention.. but doent hurt.
OMG! Patty!!!! you don't give us those kinds of scares anymore ok?? ;)
I am so glad every one is doing fine, little bean, momma and your kiddo!
I gotta ask you: how does contractions feel like? i've had some pains here and there... bearable and some not so much..... and some that literaly bend me over! and i just wonder if those are contractions or just ligaments (or muscles) over stretching!? who knows! but im too scared to go into preterm labor and not know about it!
=S
OMG, thank goodness you got checked!!
Jenn- Thanks and also Thanks for asking about Andrew! He if fine, just a little sprain, they put an air cast on it and told him he could use crutches if *he felt he needed the extra support*, which they should have said *if you feel you need the extra attention* because you bet his little hinney took them to school. He forgets that I worked at that school and EVERYONE knows he is my son and watches him like a hawk for me. Well, he threw them down at recess and took off running like it was not even injured! Lil Stinker! I knew he would! Then when I asked him about it, he said (limping at the time mind you) " I only ran once mom".. I laughed so hard inside!! He has no idea I knew he was full of $hit the whole time!.... hehehe Kids will be Kids!! Got to love them!
Chris- Thanks, I will be so glad when Spring finally arrives! Columbus Ohio got 20.5 inches Friday alone! UGH!! DH had to shovel out his van before he went to work...lol
J- Thanks- always be extra extra careful on ice!!
im glad your ok.hopefully the damn winter goes away and we wont have o worry about falling on the ice.good luck to you.
Glad you're okay. I grew up in Michigan, and I must say that I don't miss the winters one bit.
Oh gosh, Patty, I was so scared for you & Brayden when I read your post. Thank goodness your ob had you come in to check things out. I too slipped and broke my ankle on ice while 32 weeks pg many, many moons ago. I too went into pre-term labor which thankfully was stopped. You're right - we all need to be so careful on that nasty ice!
I'm so glad you're okay & will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. You take it easy & don't do too much. How's ds? Is his sprain okay?
Thanks Girls! It was scary to find out that even thought I didn't *feel* like I was having contractions, I actually was! UGH!! Just kind of scares me more knowing how far out I live!!! EEK! Just glad Brayden is fine!
Oh my gosh...glad to hear you are okay. Get some rest!
Holy Cow Patty,

Luci
Thanks ladies!
Christina, I'm 31 weeks today. WAY too early to be having this baby!! It was so scary when they said, well it looks like we are having contractions. I was like WHATTTTTTTTT????? Oh so glad they got them to stop! DH has told me I am ordered to either walk around the snow and ice or keep my fanny in the house!
wow... good thing you followed your feelings about calling your dr. thats the worse thing about labor pains... I tend to always second guess myself.
Im soooo glad all turned out good for you. what a story. you make sure you take it easy for the next few days and keep us posted how your doing.
good luck
Holy Cow!!! So glad you're okay! How many weeks are you now? I don't know why I can't remember. You just never know...I've read so many gals here who've said they didn't even know they were having contractions and low-and-behold they were! I'm so glad you were there and got checked and so glad it wasn't when DH was out of town. Thanks Heavens!!
