If you've already been trying for more than a couple of months, I'd see an RE.  But I just want to caution you - they will probably tell you your only option is an egg donor, and that just might not be true.  I got my FSH measured before ttc and doctors told me I'd have very little chance of conceiving, and so I asked my sister to be an egg donor.  Lo and behold, I got pregnant right away with my own egg and had a healthy baby at 40.  I would also recommend a book about eastern medicine's approach to fertility; it is very different from the western approach and gives ways to lower FSH, etc. so you can deliver healthy babies when you're older.  I can't remember the name of the book (The Fertility Cure?), but a good book store would know it; it's the most famous eastern medicine book on fertility).  Best of luck to you.

Hi,
Saw your post from last year...have you had any success since then getting pregnant? I am almost 40, and just had a failed ivf...looking for answers. Thanks

You will definitely need to seek help from an RE. With a level that high, IVF may not even be an option. It sounds like you may be starting menopause. Levels over 40 are often an indication. Only an expert would be able to advise you on your available options. Good luck to you!
