I'm being induced tomorrow

Help, I'm being induced tomorrow and I really don't want to go through with it. I'm 39 Weeks today and was 2 almost 3cm dilated as of two days ago. On the 8th I went to the hospital because I lost my mucus plug and when I was there I was having contractions that were 3 min apart but because I was 2cm dilated I was sent home. On my way home we hit black ice and got into a car accident which sent us right back to the hospital ending up in the emergency room. We were both ok thank God but they sent me to L&D to make sure baby was fine. They checked my placenta and told me everything was fine and that I had a happy baby. They ended up keeping me overnight to keep an eye on the baby. I woke up the next morning contracting again 3 min apart but again was still at 2cm so nothing happened. I stayed a few hours for observation only to be sent home and told they were scheduling an induction on Sunday. I'm not sure I want to be induced and I don't understand why I have to be if the baby is fine. Please help me out.

It is your body and your baby! If you don't want to be induced, then tell your doctor. If the baby is healthy and happy and they have no actual reason to induce then tell them no. You don't have to do anything you don't want too.

Being induced isnt bad! I was induced with my other 3 kids! They r probably inducing u cause ur contraction are so close together for long periods of time and nothing is happening! While u r having the contractions it could be stressing the babies heart! Then they stop and babies heart goes back to normal! Thats what happened with my last son! Ur baby is fully developed and will be preffectly fine if they induce u tomorrow! There just doung it so they no he isnt being over stressed! Dont worry u will be fine! Just relax and u will get to see ur baby tomorrow in ur arms!
