I had four failed IUIs and moved on to IVF. We tried acupuncture for the first time immediately before my transfer and right after. Can't say acupuncture did the trick but I'm now 19 weeks pregnant. Definitely worth trying, and like happynifer said, it's relaxing if nothing else!
Thanks everyone for your input!!!!! I will definitely talk to my RE about this subject. :-)
I used acupuncture as part of the package with IVF, and had a son.
I had 5 m/c's and unexplained infertility. I gained 10 lbs to start, went on clomid, drank an herbal pregnancy tea and did acupuncture. Since I tried all those things, I now have a 15 month little girl and I am 7 weeks away from delivering a boy. These two are so close together because we didn't know how long it would take! I don't know what made it all come together but I wasn't willing to eliminate anything this time around since it worked for me once!
i have. did it both with my unsuccessful IUIs and with my succesful IVF.
if nothing else, i found acupuncture very relaxing. the herbs were rather like swamp water in the tea, but tolerable.
i figured it couldn't hurt and may help, so why not.
find someone with experience with infertility, preferably someone your RE recommends.
that way they work together.
