Over 35 with twins, RE sent me to OBGYN not High risk?

Hey guys, need your input.  My RE whom I trust dearly recommended me to an OBGYN closer to my home.  When I called I asked if they took "high risk" because I thought that is what I was... I JUST turned 40 and am pregnant with twins via IVF.  I had 1 chemical preg. and am in good health.  I met the OB and he seems to be good.  He also sees a lot of nurses in the hospital I work in.  He said he could refer me to a high risk MD "if needed"

Do you think I should just seek out a high risk MD on my own or do you think this OB would be suffiicient?  He did say when I interviewed him that he just delivered a 48 y.o. who had a singleton.
choices.... choices.....

Thanks guys!  It is just so weird being told by all your friends and society, "your high risk, your high risk" and then going to an MD who says he's comfortable with my history and situation and really the only "high risk" is that I have twins!  (he did not even mention my age!!)

Wow...congrats with twins!
Go with your head and heart.
If you feel comfortable, stay with him.  Your OBGYN would not have referred you to someone who has no experience with high risk, she knows your history.

Hi,
if you are comfortable with him, no need.  If you are not, then certainly keep looking.

You will be fine!  Congrats on your twins.

Many ob's specialize in multiples.  That may be a good start.  Not every twin pregnancy is high risk.

Congrats on your pregnancy!!!
