With my first i had no intention of going into labour but walking around town at 39w+3 days done it for me. Daughter born 39+4. In the evening time i would get pains that came and gone. After it happened over an hour or two i thought 'this might be it'. I had no show or waters breaking. With my second i had nothing, no pains of any kind until i got sweep on my due date. I had irregular pains but still thought this may all stop as sweep doesnt always work. The following day
I lost my mucus plug and still contracting irregularly until the evening time when we thought it was time to go to hospital. Active labour for each was about 6 hours. My second i had slow labour for a few hours first. Son was born 40+2

Everyone's experiences will vary a bit, but some things that I've had, and many of the ladies here too are the loose stools, feeling kinda sickly beforehand, just not 'right', the BH contractions pick up and some point leading up the mucous plug will come out. Not everyone sees this in a glob, sometimes if wipes off in the potty for days.

About a mnth b4 I went into active labor I lost mucus plug w/out blood. Then a few weeks before, I had loose stools & neasua. Sometimes vomiting. 3 dys before, the mucus plug that continued to kick out turned to old blood. Constant contractions the entire time. At times I would get really weak & tired & @ other times I would get nesting urges. The night before hospital, my contractions became more intense. By 5am, I was in a lot of pain. Tried to stick it out to get other kids to school. By 7:00am I couldnt take it any more. Could hardly walk or sit. Got to hospital & was already 7cms. They couldnt believe it. No bleeding or anything. I hope this helps. Good luck, mama!!
