Flu shot safe

I'm 8w1d today. I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the flu shot is safe for the first trimester or not.

Flu shot is fine the nasal spray flu vaccine is NOT.

As above. The shot is safe, nasal inoculation is not. Flu shot is actually recommended for pregnant women.

The flu shot is safe to have at any stage of pregnancy.

They give you a special flu shot during pregnancy.  The needle is a lot thinner, and you won't feel anything.  My sister got hers when I got mine, my sticker was green & hers was blue  to show the different type of vaccine.  Hope this helps!

There are actually no studies on pregnant women, and on the packaging itself from the manufacturers it says not to use on infants and pregnant women.  There are chemicals in the flu shot  that are toxic but it's such a small amount that they don't normally affect children and adults however I didn't want to take any chances.  There is no proof that it is safe so I didn't get the shot while I was pregnant. I've always had the flu shot before so I have built up some immunity to many viruses but there are other things you can do to lower your risk of getting ill.But scientifically there is no evidence that it is safe for the fetus. They once assumed nothing could cross the placenta and now they learn more and more things that do, so I'm not taking any chances.

I have the flu and am 11 weeks pregnant and it has been hell. When pregnant your immune system is low so you can contract most things easy. Have the flu injection. Gp and hospital had a right pain contolling my temperature due to only allowed paracetamol in pregnancy. They have to keep your temperature down otgerwise it can cause birth defects. Prevention is better believe me. Second week now and on antibiotics due to cough now a chest infection.
