anxiety attack?

Ladies, I know I ask alot of questions about c sections but I am a ftm & it was my first c section, but theres things im curious about alot now & have no one really to ask.. ive already had my baby, hell be 2 weeks on wednesday, but have any of you who have had c sections ever gotten an anxiety attack? Everyday lately, except for today, ive ran a fever once a day & after I took my pain prescriptions, itd go away. Im not sick, no cold, nothing. I just hurt all over, run a fever, especially when I cry & then after the medicine is taken, its over with til the next day. I have been able to make bowel movements, but for the last 2 times, there was a little bit of blood, but idk if theres was actually blood in the stool or if it was blood dripping because I know that even though I have c sections, you still bleed vaginally. & Ive been having really bad gas pains. To where I have to grab onto something around me until it passes. It was unbearable until for the past two days. Now today, I went to the grocery store & out of no where, I got really hungry, shakey & really bad hot & dehydrated. Is any of this normal? Is something wrong with me? Seems like ever since the c section ive had problems. What should I do?

As far as your bowels, if your stool is black not brown that is internal bleeding. If you see blood in the toilet its probably normal. A fever could be an allergic reaction of some sort to the meds or very well a blood infection. As far as gas etc...your stomach muscles are not as functional after a c section. It will take time to heal those to where you dont feel so sore. And the shaking sounds like anemic problems. You may have lost a lot of blood during the c section... Try taking some vitamins with iron. But yes, if you are concerned contact your doctor. Get well soon!

My fever was 100.7. My pain medicine is percocet & 800 milligram ibuprofen. & my incision is fine. Not infected or anything. Its just all so weird. After they pulled my son out they told me they were giving me a shot in the leg & after they did that, all I wanted to do was sleep. Id doze off & then wake myself up because im thinking what the hell did they give me, especially when im already on an epidural & spinal block & knew that even after my surgery was over, id still be on the epidural. Everyone thats had a baby that I knew told me that their labor they dont really remember anything, that its all a blur. With me, I remember everything. Its after my surgery where I cant remember anything. Different doctors & nurses would come in the room I was in to talk to me & I would be so out of it that I just couldnt talk to them. One doctor came in & she was talking to me & all I could remember was that she had black hair, I dont remember anything she ever said. And after my surgery, I was shaking. Really bad. To where I couldnt control it & they told me it dealt with the medicine & I was so freakin thursty & I couldnt have water or ice for some reason. I was getting really pissed off. The lady that was taking care of me was really making me mad. Even trying to TELL me that I was going to breast feed my son. I know its healthier than formula & my plan was to breast feed, but my son came out weighing 9 pounds & 2 ounces & after a c section, I didnt want anything on my stomach.

I had an emergency c-section 7yrs ago and heading that way again in 6wks time!.straight after they removed my baby girl from my stomach i took a panic attack.the epidural had gone all the way up on me,up through my lungs so i felt like i could not breathe and felt like i was going to vomit but couldnt. If u got the epidural i would question this but also get checked out for an infection. As u had the baby 2wks ago the side effects im sure have well gone but it is worth checking out.best of luck.hope u make a speedy recovery

Is your fever over 100*?  If so that could be a sign of an infection.  According to what I just read if you have a fever of over 100* after a csection you need to contact a doctor immediately or go back to the hospital it was preformed.  What pain medication do they have you taking?  Are you able to look at or have someone else look at your incision? Is it red or swollen?

Yes dont wait until your 6 week check up.  Is there a nurse line or on call doctor you can call.  Especially if baby is having problems too.  And maybe call baby's pediatrician?

I do not know if medicine can cause infections.  But I really would get checked out immediately.  You deserve to be enjoying your baby not dealing with all this.

Ive also emailed my doctor. Im waiting for a reply. I rather wait 3 days to see if she says to come in to see whats going on than to wait for my 6 week check up. Now my baby, the other day was running a fever & kept pooping out his milk. So we gave him tylenol & pedialite. He was fine & then today hes been spittin up his milk & was running a fever. Were both having problems. I wish I knew what was going on.

Thanks ladies. My sister said maybe the medicine is causing an infection. Is that even possible?

I have never experienced any of those symptoms with my csections.  I agree with julie call you doctor or the hospital you delivered at.  Do you think you medicine could be the problem.  I never took it after mine, I always went with just Tylenol and just took it religiously at first as ppl in my family tend to have adverse side effects from medicine.  I would also worry maybe you got an infection and so when on medicine it is covering up the symptoms and they come back when they wear off. Definitely contact someone as soon as possible.  Good luck and keep us posted.  So sry you are going through all this!
