Gestational Diabetes,

I went to the My Dr. appt. Today And they Gave me my Glucose Tolarence Test Results, and it looks like I Have Gestational Diabetes (GD). It's Been Very Hard To Keep A Great Diet In This pregnancy.
Does anyone else have GD and are having a Hard Time with this?
I'm 27 weeks.
With My last pregnancy I did so good didn't gain any weight, and with this pregnancy I've already gained almost 20lbs.

When I had my first child I had GD and I cut out any carbs. And I was advised to walk after eating because that burns the sugar.

I have the same but am at 14+3 days. I have to take insulin 5 times a day and am on a healthy diet. Dietician can really help and ease your mind with what you are/can eat.

I don't have personal experience with this one, but I work in health care.  Is there a diabetes education clinic or group in your area?  They can be very helpful in helping you control your sugar levels.  Some women can control it with food but not all.  That all depends on your results.  Your Dr will give you guidance as far as if you need insulin or another medication.  But it will be alright, you have a diagnoses and this is something that is treatable.  Take care.
