Getting Pregnant at 46

I'm 46 years old and was married for 22 years. I've got a 21 year old daughter. My husband passed away, and I now have a fiancee who really wants to have a child with me. He's 37 and has a son from a previous relationship. What are my odds of conceiving naturally? He will be heartbroken if we can't have a baby of our own, though he is worried about how I'd be able to physically handle another pregnancy. Advice, encouragement or words of wisdom for us are very welcome!

I'm 46.   was married 23 years with 3 girls now 22. 16 &14. then 5 years ago divorce, remet my grade school love and we got married and immediately tried to conceive.   didn't happen lots of miscarriages, a tumor on my ovary, we gave up.  suddenly in August, no period!  im now out of the blue naturally 13+ weeks pregnant with a very healthy baby boy!  long way to go but we're all thrilled.  see a fertility doctor to get all the info you can on your odds/ability, but what I think worked for us was....  daily sex just for the pure fun of it. ;)  good luck!

My moms friend is due her baby in the same week i am (first week of january) shes 48 and concieved naturally, but she is being brought in for cesarean on the 20th of december just to ensure the baby is ok. Id say go for it if its what you want? Medicen is so advanced nowadays that they can minimize any complications although if it doezsnt happen i wouldnt recommend trying repeatedly too many times. Just my opinions i wish you the best of luck with it all
