Got the results of my GD one hour test

Amazingly enough.. I have had gestational diabetes with both my dd...  the last one I had to use insulin...  I took the test at 12w and all was good.. and I just took it again yesterday at 28w3d and I passed!!! haha I am amazed... the cut off is 130 and I was at 129.  She said before the cut off was 140 and I didn't pass then with my last dd.. but now it is less and I still passed.  so all is good for now.. I may have to take it again later but for now it is all good!  anyway I am happy!

Congrats on passing!!  I'm waiting on my results now - had 3 hour test at 13w after stopping Metformin and passed and was just sent back for my 26w test.  Doctor had no faith that I would pass 1 hour since I average about 96-106 fasting when I test at home now anyway.  So I had the 3 hour last Friday - hoping I pass!!!

well since I had it before I was tested at 12w and passed but usually they do it at 28w which I am at now... they do it then because it is then that the baby starts producing insulin and will store all the sugar your body doesn't absorb as fat.. and the baby gets too chubby... :)  if you have GD your body isn't using insulin well enough to absorb the sugar it should...
