HCG LEVELS

I have read on several sites the ranges for hcg levels.  16 dpo my hcg level is 1061.  From  what I have read that is high.  Could this mean twins?  My progesterone is 58.

My 1st ultrasound is Nov. 13th.  Seems like forever away.  Dr. says that my results are excellent. I have had 5 m/c's and 1 chemical preg.  Hopefully clomid works for me!

It looks like there are different charts out there depending on where you look.  When are you having your first ultrasound?  I am dying to know now..lol.

Whatever the case, I wish you a healthy pregnancy!!!

What made me think twins was a possibility was this chart.  I am either 16 or 17 DPO.

At 16 DPO, the average HCG level is 95 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 33-223 mIU/ml.
At 17 DPO, the average HCG level is 132 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 17-429 mIU/ml.
At 18 DPO, the average HCG level is 292 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 70-758 mIU/ml.
At 19 DPO, the average HCG level is 303 mIU/ml, with a typical range of 111-514 mIU/ml.

Based on this chart, I am at least double the high end of the range.  I was taking clomid so I was wondering if I am the 10%
Thanks...

Hi Suzie.  16 DPO is considered about 4 1/2 weeks LMP or pregnant.  I copy and pasted this chart for you.  Its just a guidline, but you are definately on the high side.  It can mean multiples, although only an ultrasound will show for sure.  Congrats on your pregnancy, and good luck to you!!!

    *   3 weeks LMP: 5 - 50 mIU/ml
    * 4 weeks LMP: 5 - 426 mIU/ml
    * 5 weeks LMP: 18 - 7,340 mIU/ml
    * 6 weeks LMP: 1,080 - 56,500 mIU/ml
    * 7 - 8 weeks LMP: 7, 650 - 229,000 mIU/ml
    * 9 - 12 weeks LMP: 25,700 - 288,000 mIU/ml
    * 13 - 16 weeks LMP: 13,300 - 254,000 mIU/ml
    * 17 - 24 weeks LMP: 4,060 - 165,400 mIU/ml
    * 25 - 40 weeks LMP: 3,640 - 117,000 mIU/ml
    * Non-pregnant females: <5.0 mIU/ml
    * Postmenopausal females: <9.5 mIU/ml
