Discharge - especially the light brown/yellowish variety - is VERY common. I had plenty of it in the first trimester. Also, light pink bleeding (not discharge) is common - there's a lot of blood flow to your cervix and it can get irritated very easily and you'll spot. Honestly, unless you've had problems so far in your pregnancy, I don't think you have anything to worry about. You'll have all kinds of odd discharge and odors coming out of you for the next 28 weeks...lol. However, as always, if you are overly concerned, call your MD!

Hi there.  I am having the same thing right now, except mine is brown.  I know, it is so scary.  I know that it's normal, but it is hard to seperate the logical from the emotional.  Give your Dr. a call and let him/her know. It's always best to report it, and honestly, Tricia is right.  Many women have this and most of the time it's just fine.  Good luck to you.

I was wondering something - did you have the spotting after bd (intercourse)?  As Tricia said, the cervix is engorged w/blood and if it's even slightly irritated, some spotting can appear.  If you get really concerned, you could always visit your ER but that's not something I recommend.  hang in there until Tuesday - jen
