FEVER in Early Preg

I am in the 1st trimester, it was my 5th week and 6th day on the 14th feb'11 when i started having sore throat and fever (may be because i had an ice cream shake previous night i.e 13th feb) the fever reached 102 degrees F for about a couple of minutes and fluctuated between normal to 100 afterwards. I did take paracetamol on 14th night and 15th morning, the fever was normal then on the 15th feb but in the evening it reached 100 degrees F and i took an antibiotic. Now its 16th feb'11 and i did not have fever today but flu is still present, throat is a bit better now, its my 6th week and 1 day. Is fever considered dangerous for baby's health? What can be done to prevent any complications? What complications can occur? Any one had such experience before and what was the result?

Try this mixture, 1 spoon full of lemon, 1 spoon honey & mix with a cup of hotwater (boiled water) .. this will help build you immune system, feeding it with Vitamin C.  Drink this in the morning and before you go to bed.  You will be fine & your little peanut too!! Blessings

It has to get to 102.5 or over and stay that way for awhile before any harm is done, but sinc yours didnt all is well.  Good luck

Rest assured your baby is fine.  Your fever isn't high enough to hurt your growing embryo.  I was very ill with my first pregnancy with the same fevers early on. Congratulations.
