Heart operation

Hello I am 20 years old and I am worried that I won't make it through my first normal birth.  I am currently 36 week pregnant with my first child, I have also had heart surgery age 4....  Doctor has said that my heart is fine to have a normal birth and suggested General anaesthetic. Has anyone been through this?  Will I end up having a emergency c-section?  Should I take the general anaesthetic?  I'm so worried :( but also wishing my baby girl was here.

I had heart surgery at 2. Recently gave birth to my first child a little boy. I was in the boat as you worried. Dr suggested to do ecg 2 weeks before I was due. Ecg is to test your heart to make sure all is good. Since I was low risk so my heart was all fine no drama. I gave birth naturally! All healthy. if you're Dr is worried I'm sure he will tell you
