Hello everyone..
I was told on Jan 13th that I was pregnant, on the 21 of jan I had an ultrasound. The doc told me the next day that there was no baby found on the ultrasound and that I had brighten ovum.. They took blood and test me again, and yes indeed I was pregnant.. But they said I was olny around 7 weeks.. Here we are now in feb and I'm still showing signs of pregancy.. Sore boobs. Cravings etc .. I've had no spotting or cramps.. I'll be 43 in may and this is my 6th pregnancy.. 18 years later from my last born.. Please help!!

I had a blighted ovum last year in May. Just like other ladies have mentioned the only way to tell is if your doctor does hcg test on you to see if your levels are rising. I had spotting almost every day before I found out I had it and ended up having a miscarriage. Doc told me I would need a d and c only if after the natural miscarriage my hcg levels were still high. It was extremely painful and had to go to hospital. But I've heard so many stories of it being too early to see the baby in an ultrasound or babies hiding so ask your doc for more info and test before you worry. Have hope. Oh, and this is the 35+ group I'm 25 but I like to give advice if I've experienced something because I don't think age matters in certain situations. If someone out of my age group has some advice for me I'd gladly appreciate it! :D

Also had a blighted ovum last year. Lost it @ 7 weeks. We are trying again this month. If your doc hasn't done any follow up then get a new doc! I am also an ob nurse, you should have blood work to see if the hcg levels are going up or down. Best of luck.

The doctor hasn't done any follow up?
If you haven't passed it naturally, they need to take it out. It can make you very ill. First thing I would do, take an at home test. Just so I would know (not a scientific reason). Call the darn doctor after that.   .  I miscarried 2 years back they had me blood test every 2-3 days to make sure my levels decreased. All the way until it said 0 again.

This is the 35+ group. Emalee132 must be mistaken or is a glitch in the system. I agree with getting your HCG level checked.

Hmmmm. That's weird... I thought this was the 35+ room. I'm 39. Anyways, what are the instructions with a blighted ovum? Just to let it miscarry on it's own?

In 2014 I had two blighted ovum, same thing happen to me, all signs of pregnancy nausea, tender breast ect... both of the pregnancy went all the way up to 12 weeks where I started spotting and had to have a D & C done. The doctor should have sent you to do blood work, to see if the hcg is rising or falling if it's rising that's great if not it can be a misscariage. Hope this helps! & hoping for the best

Maybe your ultrasound was done too early thats why no baby was seen i would take another pregnancy test and schedule an ultrasound i have a family member who was told there was no baby only a empty sac she was so worried then weeks later turned out that it was just to early for the baby to be seen now shes 2 years old and healthy.. anyways i hope you still are and everything turns out ok good luck

Sorry hun.. I didn't even see that. However age really wouldn't matter if someone had this.. Just want to know their intake on it.. They should have showed some kind of signs etc..

Not to be mean or anything, but there's different communities on here and this community is 18-24 years old so I'm not sure how many people are going to have advice or are going to be able to relate or help much!! There is a community for 35+! Hope you find the help you need! Good luck!
