very involved question

Hi ladies,  32yrs old active duty military with baby number 2 on the way. First was a boy and ended up with a c-section at 41+1weeks due to labor not progressing. Trying for a vbac this time around, however my doc is concerned with how much weight I've gained thus far. I'm 26+5 weeks. At my last appointment she told me I was at 24 pounds, and that was probably at 22 ish weeks. Every time they weigh me i have my uniform and boots on. They tell me that they take off like 5lbs but it just doesn't add up. I keep track through this app and it says that I'm at almost 22lbs. Anyone else with this problem, or similar? Also any success stories with vbac? I'm super scared of all the risks but i  as though this baby will do better if i can have it naturally. I'm not finding out the gender this time. My first labor was absolutely traumatic. I was even told that i probably suffered from ptsd because it was so bad. Anyway this had turned into a novel. Sorry! Any suggestions on how to get labor started earlier and on its own this time? How far did any of you walk and for how many days in a row until it started?  Also I'm pretty sure i experienced back labor yesterday, can anyone else tell me if they did, and why it would be so early?
Thanks in advance for your positive support and responses

I wanted to try for a v back as well with ny youngest. I ubfortunatly was not able to do it. But what if did to get labor started was two weeks before I was.due I started.taking rasberry leaf tea pills. They are natual and will notbharm the baby they help strengthen the cervix and cause contractions I took two a day for a week then bumped it up to three a day. The night I went into labor I took six early in the mprning and around seven that night cobtractions started. Walking amd exercise are good too.

As for back labor early you coukd be dehydrated make sure you dr ink plenty of liquids. If yiu have back labor during labor have whoever is in the room with you take two tennis balls and tie them ib a long sock and roll them up and down your back. Works wonders.

As for your weight gain if you are eating healthy and exercising then do not be too worried about it. A friend of mine went through the doctors telking her she was always gaining too much and it made her stress out and afraid to eat anything because she didnt want to gaib too much. She gave birth to a healthy luttle girl even after all the doctors scoldings. The only problem is gestational diabetes that can be found when they do the sugar test. So until then eat healthy exercise and you should be okay :)
