Don't worry about it - I had the exact same thing.  I believe the last trimester,  I was up every night from 2am to 5 or 5:30am.  No discomfort or anything - stomach hardening on occasion,  but nothing worrying at all.  I got really good at being nocturnal - I would even pad around the house without any lights on,  walk up and down the stairs,  then watch aload of infomercials on TV - I could probably tell you how much every "AS SEEN ON TV" item costs!!
I started to believe that my body was preparing itself for the sleepless nights.  Trust me,  after you have your baby - an hour of sleep will feel like a two week vacation because all of a sudden your body is back to normal (almost) and you sleep better.
Most of all - try not to worry, ok?  All will be fine!

I had this when I was pregnant with one of my daughters.  (She is 18 yrs. old now!)  I was not uncomfortable or anything I was just wide awake every night.  This lasted about the last 3 months of pregnancy.  Funny thing is the minute she was born I was over it.  I was so exausted when I finally went into labor that I actually slept between contractions!  When she arrived I heard "She's a girl!" and I said "Great" and fell asleep!

I am expecting twins also (boy/girl) and am interested to know how this turns out for you. I think you should call your doc and ask them about your collective symptoms. I have had restless leg for years, and also during the entire pregnancy. I even had an energy burst this week (I am just about 24 weeks now). The insomnia is a concern whether it indicates labor not. You need sleep now more than ever. SO, a call to the doc would be good. Best wishes, and let us know how it goes :-)

I agree, Luci, keep those girls in the cooker a little longer, please!  Ask your ob about the restless leg syndrome.  I had a touch of this as well - we really didnt' treat it as it wasn't anything severe - just more of a nuisance for me anyways.

Gosh, hon, I can't believe your time's only 6 weeks away!!!  I know you're so ready for this to be over.  How do you feel about hanging out at home now?   - jen

Wish I could help you but I had NO labor (that I know of anyway) until after my water broke.  Which is really weird because I was 90% effaced, slighly dilated and baby had dropped for weeks before my water broke.

Restless leg syndrome is common during pg tho.  Try to keep those babies in there until at least 34 weeks.  If you are in early labor, you should consider calling your dr because they can help stop it.  34wks is a major developmental milestone.  They may also want to give you some steroid shots for babies' lung development.

Good luck to you girl. I'm so excited for you. I can't wait!!
