Your top number is high. Monitor 2-3 days and notify your doctor if it stays elevated.

I'm high risk for gestational hypertension as well. I'm only 16wks but last reading was 149/80. My ob said he normally hospitalises at 140/90 but I could probably get it down myself over the next week at this stage with bed rest. When I had preeclamplsia in my first pregnancy my bp was 170/140, I was huge with swelling, seeing spots so bad I could barely see, and had a massive headache for 3 days. If you have anything like that with the high bp call your dr immediately. Its extremely rare to start before 20wks but it can happen.

Typically, that is not too high unless you're having readings in the high range all the time. Here's my suggestion: keep track of your BP at least a couple times a week (different times & activity levels) & take the readings & your BP monitor with you the next time you see your practitioner. This way, they can compare your machine with theirs for accuracy. If they feel your readings are too high, medicine may be prescribed.
I am on Methyldopa 3x/day for PIH. I was put on it relatively early in my pregnancy due to me having this same issue in my previous one.

They dont typically diagnose it until around 20 weeks my doc told me. But told me to tell them if I get top number of 140+ or bottom number of 90+. I am high risk for high blood pressure but so far my highest was 118/70 something. Good luck!
