nervous... high risk...

I am 36, just found out 2 days ago that I'm 5 1/2 weeks pregnant... I have a son that will be 15 in May... my pregnancy with him was not easy and ended in an emergency c-section... I have type 2 diabetes... and I've had 1 miscarriage about 2 years ago... I know I'm high risk... I have my first appointment on the 22nd... is there any one else who has been through something similar. I'm trying to stay calm and low stress...

My first appointment want supposed to be until April 30th but after scheduling transferred me to the Dr's nurse and I told her my history they were able to get me in this coming Tuesday. The Dr they put me with specializes in pregnancies for women who already have diabetes... trying to keep the stress down, but today wasn't so easy... my fiance keeps trying to keep me calm but it's not so easy to do over the phone and by texting! Can't wait till this job is done and he can be home for a few days!!

I am high risk also. I had my third baby at 38 and pregnant with my fourth at 40. I get gestational diabetes with my pregnancies and have to have a c section because my second baby had severe shoulder distotia and was stuck with his head out but shoulders in for 35 minutes. I love my high risk DR's though and there very careful and great with my care.

I am 36 and pregnant with my 2nd as well. My daughter will be 17 when my little man gets here. Try not to stress any about it. I look at it this way, God wouldnt give me anything I can't handle and believe me its been tough. I've been in 2 car accidents in the last month one was really bad the other not as much. I'm graduating college in 4 weeks and I've been having contractions since the last accident. The stress from you worrying is bad for baby. My point is be happy about your upcoming bundle of joy

Join the club I'll be 36 when this little one arrives feeling blessed but at 34 weeks today I'm still nervous. I don't think I'll get my sanity back till I hold my baby and count 10 fingers & 10 toes :) on a good note it hasn't been horrible I've only gained 15lbs., I'm just starting to get a little swelling, sciatica & hands going numb. 6 weeks to go, but who's counting ;)
