Hydrocodone use while pregnant

I have been taking hydrocodone under a doctor's care throughout my pregnancy. I am due any day now and take 30mg, how likely is it that my baby will experience withdrawals? Particularly severe withdrawals? I've heard so many mixed reviews...

Your Dr. is the best person to advise you.  The good news is that if you have used this medication under a Dr.'s care and the recommended dosage, your Dr. knows what to expect and can withdraw baby medically and properly.  Baby should not experience discomfort.  If that is not the case (not accusing, just mentioning) and your usage is more then your Dr. knows, then it is very important he/she be made aware.  You dont' want baby withdrawing without assistance, so your medical team must have all the information.  Congrats on your pregnancy, and all the best to you.

That's something I would definitely ask your doc about, and maybe your pediatrician. Some people are really against the thought of using this method- but if you're planning on breastfeeding it may help with the withdrawal symptoms for the little one. Your dosage isn't particularly high, but it is a medication known to cause withdrawal in adults- so I can only imagine it would cause some discomfort for the baby.
