I finally got the referral to the woman's hospital only for them to reject it saying not enough history. I asked what this means but i'm yet to get an answer. This is so very frustrating. I'm sure all will be known in time, patience is needed most I think. thanks for all your suggestions etc. I appreciate all of them
Here's the thing...if you are far enough along to feel what you are feeling, it is virtually impossible that nothing would show on an ultrasound or that you would not have elevated HCG levels. I can say with almost absolute certainty that you are not pregnant. I wish you well in finding out what is going on. How frustrating to not be able to get to the bottom of it.
No chance that having your tubes done would affect a pregnancy test.
I havent seen an obgyn yet as there is more testing to be done so i'm told before they will even see a new patient. I'm waiting on this other dr to refer me to a specialist or obgyn.
I don't understand why i'm feeling the way I am, the things I am, it makes absolutely no sense if there was no baby then I shouldn't be able to feel things like leg bones, arm bones, head or butt, and even a foot. I am not the only one who has felt these things, so if not a baby what could be causing these things.
I wonder if it's possible for someone to be preg and nothing ever show up. Now I have read it has happened that baby wasn't shown til the day they delivered, almost like me and the twilight zone. Is there any chance that having your tubes done would effect how any test result would show?
That looks familiar from the testing I read on the paperwork. When I asked the dr's what was being tested I was told all hormone levels, std's, all my counts, etc., I have had many tests retested because of seeing a diff dr and they wanted to make sure it was covered. I have requested to be referred to specialists but am told need more tests done before they will see me. It's a long journey that doesn't appear to have an end. Thanks for all your help I will have to keep pushing for the specialists, and hope that someone can figure this out.
This is going to sound like a dumb question, but I presume they did a blood hcg test? If that came back negative and ultrasound is not finding a baby, then you are most definitely not pregnant. If the ob/gyn is blowing things off, that is because you are probably insisting you are pregnant, but are not. I would run, not walk to a new ob/gyn and do not tell them of your previous visits and don't tell them that you think you're pregnant, just simply tell them all of your symptoms and let them start over with checking you out thoroughly.
Good luck!
Did they test you specifically for prolactin?
I had the testing done, it all came back normal. Nothing is showing as to what the problem is and this is frustrating to no end..... I have seen 4 dr's and not one seems to know what to do next....
You need to have your hormones tested. If they have not found a baby in two ultrasounds, there is no baby, but if you are producing milk it is a sign that you are producing a lot of prolactin. A lot of things can cause the hormones to go off balance. See a doc who will take an interest in testing your hormones.
