I'm smoking... feel free to judge!

I posted a couple wks ago that I was quitting smoking and looking for non-judgemental support. I'm 8 wks today and have relapsed, smoking 3-4 cigarettes a day for the past week. Now's when I want harsh truth, mean comments, tell me how terrible it is. I "want" to quit... but I don't want to quit. Help!

You don't have to go outside with them to smoke, that's your choice. If they smoke inside I hope they'd change that out of consideration for you and baby. Don't be selfish, give them up for 9 months

It's so hard I stopped with my first and I've stopped with this baby too! There worth it! Ur baby might or might not have problems but if u can know for sure it wasn't caused by u then at least u can't say "what if" for the rest of ur life!  Put the cigarette down and put ur big girl panties on! U will be a mom soon and let me tell u some sacrifices will be much bigger then this! I want Nothing more then some beer and a joint, with a cig to finish my night but nope I have the will power to be strong for my baby! Count the days like I'm doing if it helps! Cause all we have is time in this pregnancy prison!   Good luck ur going to need it!

I was told that every time you take a hit of a cigarette its like covering your baby's mouth with a pillow and I would just picture that and I just completely stopped cold turkey

I'm sorry i can't judge you because I'm 16 weeks and have smoked the whole time i have cut back a lot and it is hard to just stop cold turkey I'm still trying to quit cause i feel guilty when i smoke but my mom his mom him his sister and all smoke rite in front of me so it's hard. Does anyone smoke in front of you? ? Just try your best and good luck

I hope we all haven't made you feel too horrible, my goal wasn't to judge you but just help you be aware it is more serious than you think. I know some other smokers on here are taking a much more casual stance on this, but it's for your baby, this innocent life you're creating that will pay in the long term if you dont. Plus, there is nothing more unattractive than a pregnant woman smoking. Take heart, find something that's helps you stay strong and someone to keep you accountable, I'll do it through here if I have to! You have it in you and you'll be so proud of yourself and feel great when you do!
