I am in my 21st week of pregnancy with twin girls. Should I stop worrying about things going wrong?

Are my chances of loses these babies still high since they are faternal twins.  The babies are both well and my cervical length is 3.4.  Can I relax and flaunt my pregnancy now.  We are still hiding it from most people...is this crazy?

PS  By all means....flaunt your pregnancy ....it's not at bad time to start announcing things, esp at 21 weeks!!

Well you are definitely looking good in your pregnancy.   And if you can stop worrying, more power to you.   But realistically no one can predict the future.   OF course worrying doesn't help no matter how much your worry.   So my best advice to you is to take each day as it comes.   You don't know what tomorrow will bring.  Worrying is just a waste of engery!!   I wish however i could take my own advice, but fact of the matter is that i've worried about my pregnancy the entire time (26 weeks almost) and I have two kids and I am still worrying about my 19 year old son.    But heck if you can "enjoy" your pregnancy , by all means do it!!

Pum, I couldn't have said it better.  I read a line in a book once that stuck with me... "Embracing disaster before it even happens only ruins the present as well as the future." And really, there's a very strong likelihood that no disaster is going to happen anyway, so then we ruin the present for nothing.
That said, I can't say I'm the worry-free sort.  Like adgal, I'll probably worry until he/she is 18!!  Probably several years longer.  I'm 37 and my mother still worries continually about me!!  But I do try to remember that line.
Best to all.

It's hard to accept, but worrying doesn't change any outcomes it just robs you of enjoying this once in your lifetime experience (not many people get to carry twins once and not much chance of you doing it again). Take a chance on enjoying your pregnancy, don't wish it away or finished before you have to. When you tell people I hope you enjoy the special looks and kind things people say and do. People do treat you differently. It's your time to be nurtured and cared for.

I've come to the conclusion I will stop worrying when this little bean is about 18 or so...lol.  It's natural to be concerned, however it sounds like things are going great for you!!  Try to relax and enjoy this time, and congratulations on your double happiness!!!!

I am pregnant with twins too and am in the 28th week.  I cant believe you still CAN hide it at 21 weeks.  I was DEFINATELY showing a lot and in maternity clothes by then.

At 21 weeks, you should be pretty safe to tell everyone. :)  I relaxed a lot when I got to the 25th week.

I so understand but try to enjoy your pregnancy! I worried up until my baby was born and now she is almost 9 months old. I so MISS being pregnant and wish I could do it again. Sit back, relax close your eyes and savor every second!!!!!!

I should think that as long as the babies are well and the heartbeats are normal, your risks will have decreased dramatically by 21 weeks!! I don't think I've heard of anyone hiding a pregnancy this long!!  I'm not being nasty... I'm IMPRESSED!  But I think you should be able to relax and to start to enjoy.  I'm sure you're going to get lots of shocked reactions when people ask how far along you are and you tell them!!
All the best.
