I am 40 yrs old and have just had my 1st IUI last week. With Puregon I only took it for 6 days before docs administered HcG and the following day had my insemination.
Just a few days ago I my belly ballooned and I gained 6 pounds in 2 days, breasts are tender and am very thirsty.
My husband & I had sex twice this weekend even though I was bloated.
I researched on the internet the symptoms and learned about OHSS (ovarian hyperstimulation) but the clinic told me it likely isn't because of my age.
This evening I noticed a clot of blood when I went pee.

Anybody know what's going on or have had similar grief?

sounds like overstim... did they see how many eggs you had?.. I didn't bloat at all with my injectables..

I bloated up something terrible after taking injectibles, and I'm STILL bloated, 10 weeks later!  I gained about 4 or 5 lbs.  My ovaries are still stimulated and unhappy.  I'm 36 btw, so pretty close to your age.  Bloating is totally normal with injectibles.

The small bit of blood makes me wonder though if your IUI worked and you were getting some implantation bleeding?  I think I had implantation about 6 days after my IUI.  I'm now 10 weeks preggers. :)
