It looks like a BFN,, also will do HSG

This is my first cycle trying to conceive... was on Femara for this one and probably will be for the next two or three. I have been a llittle crampy the last few days, and period is due on the 1st, so I went ahead and took a HPT, though it still could be a little too early. My period cramps usually start a couple of days before my AF actually comes, and the cramps are here a little early. Still no bleeding but booooo! I am also going to get an HSG (for fallopian tubes) done after this period as I dont want to waste any time if my tubes are blocked. I totally dont want to do that exam since Ive heard its so unpleasant, but Im going to have to. I have some minor kidney issues so I will let my nephrologist know.. he says Im good to go for PG but just to make sure, info I found online says because its a contrast with dye, check with dr if you have some renal issues. Has anyone had the HSG done? Did your RE do it or were you referred out? Mine doesnt do them so I am going to some medical imaging place, and they have a decent cash price. I will probably take some Vicoden before hand so I will atleast relax a bit. I cant take any anti-imflammatories. Thanks ladies.

I've also had it. Not my favorite all time experience, but not overly bad either.  Just a bit awkward and as trying said, I took advil before hand. It helped.  If you can't take that, I do think you are wise in taking something.  In my case they were more interested in seeing the uterus and I could conceive, but have trouble carrying.

My OB did it.  I am seeing an RE in March, and suspect I will be having another.  Good luck.

I had the hsg done twice.  It was slightly uncomfortable but not terrible.  I took 2 tylenol before and 2 later.  One was done by my OB one was done by my RE but my insurance paid for both so not sure about the cost.  I also took femara but with other medications(follistim, novarel, estrace, progesterone) and it worked for me first cycle.  Good luck to you.
