I don't mean to be snotty

Im just wondering... why are there so many people that post about "Could I be pregnant? "...
I'm never sure if they are real or hoax posts. This is a pregnancy app/site. I can understand being here while you are trying to get pregnant but the posts don't sound like excited new moms, they sound as if they are worried they could be pregnant. It just doesn't seem logical.
Oh well, maybe I'm just rambling.

OMG, that IS disturbing.  The issue with the pregnancy forum is that they are so  incredibly busy.  It would be a full time job for a few people to read every post that hits those forums.

I wonder if you couldn't do what I do----  if you have the app, you are using it on some type of device.  I go to my safari and type in med help.org.  I have an option to use it mobile or full site.  You could probably get to it that way on your device and then have the option to report things.  Just an option on how you can have better access to what the site has to offer on the same device you get the app on.

good luck

Really?  A crochet needle?  Good grief

I don't have that option. I've seen so many ridiculous posts. One girl told another to break her own water with a crochet needle at 36 weeks. I nearly had a stroke on that one. Some one really should monitor what some of these people tell other people. There are some very dangerous suggestions made to others on how to start their own labor.

Can you go to the full site from your app?  If you can do that, you'll find the report button in the top right hand corner of a post by hovering.  I don't have the app but use the site sometimes from  my mobile device.  I have an option there to go to the full site.  If I do that, I can get to forums, pull up where the question is and report it.  ??  maybe I should get the app and play around.  :>)

Hi - thought I could chime in and hopefully answer your questions.  :)  This isn't just a pregnancy site/app.  It's a medical site with several hundred forums on various topics. There are people here with questions about many different medical issues representing multiple countries, not all English speakers.  Some people don't automatically think to look for an "Am I Pregnant" forum - it just seems natural to them to post their potential pregnancy questions in a forum where there are other pregnant women.  We understand it can get distracting to have to wade through everything, but if you'll report them to us as miscategorized, we'll move them to a more appropriate home as quickly as we can.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to let us know.  We're always happy to help!

It's not a problem that can be solved.  this is a public web site and people come to it either via their mobile device or their pc and post where they think is best.  A pregnancy forum isn't too far from an "Am I pregnant" question if you don't know the site very well.  It's an honest mistake.  It's not like they posted it in the diabetes section.  :>)  The site also gets thousands of posts on any given day.  So, the moderator on duty isn't checking every post that people make.  They want to move things to the proper place though so do so when they receive the alert and have time to process it.

So, if you are a stranger to the site and you just see a pregnancy forum, you would possibly post thinking there would be people to help you whether you are excited about the pregnancy or not.

luck to all

It happens all the time. The people who monitor the forum just sayes the report it and they will move the post to the proper forum, but it never solve the problem.
