spotting at 10 weeks

Hi .. has anyone had spotting at 10 weeks to go on with a healthy pregnancy?  I just started spotting this morning and am so worried.  The clinic doesn't want to see me unless it gets heavier but I am so stressed that something is going wrong.  I have been feeling exhausted but yesterday I actually had more energy than usual and my boobs aren't as sore as they were.  Is this a loss of symptoms?

I had a scan last friday (4 days ago) and the heartbeat was 184 and baby measuring normal .. is it possible to miscarry this soon after seeing a healthy bub.

I am so so worried!! This is my first pregnancy and we have been trying to conceive for 4 years .. this is our 2nd round of IVF and we have been counting down the days to the end of the 1st trimester when we can relax a bit ... I thought that getting to 10 weeks meant there was much less chance of miscarriage.

If anyone could help, that would be great.

I'm glad to hear that the spotting is easing up. To answer your question, I miscarried at just over 5 weeks last year. With this pregnancy, we were a lot more cautious and worried, especially in the beginning, and even though we're not out of danger yet, I am comforted by having all these pregnancy symptoms... I honestly have not felt this happy to be nauseous before.
Hope all is well with you and your baby.

thanks devo .. it is brown at the moment without cramps so hopefully it won't progress past that ... I feel very tired today so at least I'm still getting pregnancy symptoms .. I felt fine yesterday and that worried me .. everything is a worry!  good to hear that you got past your spotting and are now nearly there .. it must be a great feeling to know that even if you went into labour now .. the baby would be ok. x

I had spotting from about week 5 through week 9 of my pregnancy. I'm now in week 34! So hopefully it will go well for you also. It seems to matter whether the spotting is brown or bright red, whether there are clots or just a bit of discharge, and whether you also have cramping. If your spotting is brown without major cramping and no big clots, I honestly think you're OK.

In any case, GOOD LUCK!!!

no cramps .. and it seems to have eased .. I feel like it could come back ... it's all I can think about .. I can't do bed rest as we really are broke but am working from home the next few days so don't have to be active.

I have an u/s in 2 1/2 weeks and I think I will be going crazy until then.  I know there's nothing I can do if it is a miscarriage .. but I just hate the not knowing!  I am feeling every little twinge now .. I had gotten used to all the little pregnancy pains, but now they're really worrying .. I will try to relax now .. thank you so much for your prompt answer .. it's such a worrying time in the 1st trimester and it really helps to have support from other people who've gone through the same thing

what week did you miscarry?  you must have worried until you past that point .. congrats on getting into the 2nd trimester .. and thanks again x

I had spotting at 11 weeks, and am currently just over 13 weeks and still pregnant (had an ultrasound today). My spotting lasted a few hours. Needless to say I was very worried and anxious, having had one miscarriage previously. Are you feeling any major cramps? From what I understand they have to be quite painful to be worriesome, especially if they're rhythmic. I know it's difficult to try to relax and not worry. If you can, stay on bedrest for awhile and drink plenty of water. Good luck!
