Lexapro & Omeprazole

I'm currently taking lexapro for anxiety & depression and Omeprazole for Gerd and just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant.  My doctor said the benefIt's outweigh the risks but I'm reading some really scary defects online and I'm wondering if anyone here has had good/bad experiences with them?

Yes- I was hoping to hear success stories.  I could probably give up the SSRI (God help my family if I do!) But I have Gerd to that same extent as well. I cough & gag & stop breathing while I'm laying down at night too. I can't imagine relying on Tums for that. My doctor said both are worth the risk- I'm just scared to add any unnecessary risk if it could be avoided.  Thanks for sharing your story!

I know this isn't my age group but wanted to share my experience. With my first son, which was 8 years ago , I found out I was pregnant and was taking them same thing. My doctor took me off Lexapro at 8 weeks which was first appointment. He felt it wasn't safe suggested another one which was zoloft. chose not to take anything else in replace. I continue to take omeprazole. I have GERD really bad and would choke on my stomach acid at night.my doctor said it was safe.I took it the whole time and my son is perfectly fine 8 years later =) I'm now 12 weeks and still  taking it.Hopefully this help and best of luck!
