Sometime you have absolutely no symptoms with miscarriage.

A pedictor of poor fetal outcome is when the fetus doesn't measure appropriately, or the heartbeat is too slow.  They can only tell this by sonogram.

Sometimes women bleed and it can be nothing and other times it can be something.

You might not feel as many pregnancy symptoms like breast tenderness and that could mean your hcg level is dropping..,.

Sadly the  only way to find out if this pregnancy will make it to term is by waiting it out and keeping your fingers crossed.

Not sure if you are going for ultrasounds, but just make sure the fetus measures properly (good CRL), has a high HB for the dates, and good gestational sac.    Otherwise, it's a waiting game!

Sounds like you are having a scary time of it.  I'm sorry you are going through so much stress with this pregnancy...1st trimester can be such a frightening time.

The problem with m/c symptoms is that the same symptoms can happen and all be just fine.  Many women will spot or even outright bleed during 1st trimester and everything is perfectly fine with baby.  Same can be said about cramping.  The fast heartbeat, shortness of breath and dry mouth could simply be stress (although I would strongly advise you to see your Dr. about it).

M/C can also have no symptoms at all...it's called a missed miscarriage.

The best thing you can do is try to calm down.  If your ultrasound showed all was well, that is probably the case.  See your regular OB as well, and try to stay relaxed (easier said then done I know).  Remember that once first trimester is over (at about 13 weeks) your chances of a loss are significantly decreased (something like 1%).  The stress is not good for you or baby.

All the best to you, and really, it sounds like things are just fine.  Don't let the term "threatened miscarriage" frighten you...they use that anytime there is unexplained bleeding or spotting.  Take care.
