Low Fetal Hear Rate at 9wks

I am 9 weeks pregnant (one previous miscarriage) and the baby's heart rate at today's ultrasound was only 80bpm.  How concerned should i be?  How accurate are heart rate readings at this stage of pregnancy?  (the ultrasound was an older machine where you had to have a full bladder to see anything).

I'm sorry to say that that low a heartbeat can be a concern.  Kelly is right, normal for that time is 155-195. Mine was 175 at that stage.  I too am wondering what your Dr.s comment was.  When do you have another scan done?  I wish you all the best.

Hmm, I'm wrong. 2 different websites said at 9 weeks it should be 155-195.
Sorry for the mis-info.

Yes, I think that is low and I would be concerned. What did your Dr. say? I think the norm is 120-160.  I don't want to alarm you but did they ask you to come back or say anything?

At 9 weeks 4 days, my baby HB was 172.  Did you doctor say anything about the HB?

Just wait little while to see if the HB goes up or not... don't worry too much will harm the development of the baby.. Just relax and pray....

Good luck to you. and take care
