Midwife or MD?

I'm having a hard time making a decision between a doctor and a midwife. This is my third child. My two sons were born with the help of a doctor. This time around my husband and I were looking into other childbirth options.  Help please

Great questions and comments. I never even thought of choosing a midwife. Can you still do so in a hospital?

I am def going to look into that option as well. Thank you!

I had 2 drs and had great experience with both. If you want something different choose the midwife.

Ive had 2 children one doctor one midwife. And id never go with a doctor again. Midwives are amazing their more involved and they make labor amazing. My doctor during labor would leave the room constantly to do god knows what and only came back to check me and when it was time to push my midwife held my hand every second until she had to go down there to get the baby ahahah. And my doctor really didnt let me do much while in labor and my midwife let me do what i felt necessary during labor like standing squating. It was amazing.  Baby number 3 and i have a midwife again.

I prefer midwives they are more involved and help make the pregnancy special. Dr's are all business, kind of cold, almost treat you like a#. Although this is strictly my opinion, I would opt for the midwife unless of course you are high risk. My midwives always let me have control of my birthing experience where the one time I had a Dr they could not have cared less what I wanted it was what they were going to do and I could just shut up. But I'm sure that hasn't necessarily been everyone's experience with a Dr
