Help please

I've just turned 36.  3 years ago I had a missed miscarriage at 11 weeks, I had clots and went for a scan and found the baby had no heartbeat so I had to have tablets inserted to make my womb contract so the baby would come away. I've been trying ever since to conceive. I've bought ovulation tests, done all the old wives tales (pillow under bum etc) but I have not yet conceived.  Its taking over my life because I yearn for a baby. Me and my partner had tests and they came back fine, basically there is no reason why I aren't getting pregnant, the only thing they say is I should lose a bit of weight.  I currently am and have lost a stone and half so far but I wondered if anyone had any tips that actually might work, I'm so desperate to have a baby of my own and I feel time is running out for me, please help!

It can take a long time even when we are doing everything right and using every aid out there.  There are options such as IVF or IUI if you are able.

A few tips if you aren't using them already.  After intercourse, stay on your back for a bit.  No going to the bathroom or anything.  In the days leading up to your ovulation time, watch out for things that can dehydrate you such as caffeine and alcohol.  Increase your water intake.  This aids in increasing the amount of fertile mucus your body produces around your ovulation time.  And avoid using any sort of lubricant as this too can prevent pregnancy, even if it is free of spermicides.

I also believe it is true that stress can play a part in preventing pregnancy.  I'm not sure how you go about not worrying about it. I well remember what it is like to want a baby so badly and have trouble.  So I guess all I can say is do your best in that area.

I wish you success...I know how hard this is.

I too took forever to conceive. My oldest is 16 second is 7 & im finally having my 3rd at age 37! Wat worked for me is losing weight. Just when I lost 10-20 pds tats when it happened. I think we do stress over it and tat plays a big role. So relax and try exercising I bet tat will do ta trick. Good luck!
