Mucus in Early Pregnancy?

Hello, ladies!

I know there have been questions about mucus plugs on here, but I had a related question.  I'm 10 weeks pregnant, and for the past two weeks, very occasionally when I wipe I get a thick snotty yellow mucus with no odor on the toilet paper.  I had a few globs of it today, and I can't help but be alarmed!  I don't think it's an infection or anything, because it is odorless, and I've only had it about three times in the past 2 weeks.  It looks exactly like my mucus plug from my first pregnancy, but of course, it's way too early for me to be losing my plug.

It's not a huge amount, but I'm wondering if there are things that can disturb the plug a little and perhaps cause some to break loose, and if that's totally normal?  Have any of you had this early in pregnancy?  I called my doctor to ask about it, but I haven't heard from them yet.

Thanks!

Sheri

Well, I thought of the husband thing the last time, but we definitely haven't been near each other for at least a week, so I don't think it was that!

My doc called and seemed completely unconcerned. She said it was probably due to some hormonal changes or whatnot and if I wasn't cramping or bleeding, all was fine.  So, I guess I won't worry!  (yeah, right!)

I get the same thing at times but its not alarming to me unless I see some blood in there.

Ugh.. I really don't know the correct answer for that but I can tell you that my mucus plug looked like wet silicone. It didn't have a color. But everyone's is different. I will tell you a question my doctor asked me.. YOU DON'T HAVE TO ANSWER me...lol.. but the question was.. has you and your husband recently had sex in the last couple days.. I guess some can get trapped and then it thickens.. Just something to think about.
