NEED TO GET IN TO A DR

My girlfriend is pregnant, about 17 weeks. We found out just before Thanksgiving and she started calling doctors. First offices were closed for the holidays and she couldn't get in until January and she didn't want to wait so kept looking. Just before Christmas we got worried and logged in to her insurance website and began calling all the doctors, all of whom said they didn't accept "HSP" even though they were listed on the site as providers. We had the pg confirmed at Planned Parenthood and we paid for an ultrasound from an independent place, so we know she is pg and even know it's a boy. Today she found a dr who said they take her insurance, but they won't see her because she is 4 months along and "too far". She is devastated and confused and scared. Is this legal? How can we get in to a doctor?

Had to offer some advise here, for sure to back to Planned Parenthood in the meantime. They need to run bloodwork to check baby and momma and also get her on prenatal they don't have to be prescription but make sure she is taking one daily! I even ordered mine through Honest Company online, all organic non-GMO and they are great. So get that. And for sure call insurance company explain what is happening and have them walk you through. You don't usually see a doctor till 8 weeks and you had a sonogram plus went to planned parenthood so that should be considered records so to speak to transfer to another doctor. Good luck and congratulations! Everything will work out :)

Yeah that's weird. Though I have heard of that happening before.
Unfortunately you might have to call insurance and have them set you up with SOMEONE.
Or, worse case scenario, keep going to planned parenthood. They'll get you guys hooked up with a referral to someone or even care for you there.

Worse, WORSE case scenario, you CAN go through with the pregnancy without prenatal care.. However then you run the risk of not knowing when something is wrong, or if your baby is developmentally on track.

Go to planned parenthood.
