Ok tmi ! Cracked nipples :(

Ok do my baby's 5 days old today & I've been breastfeeding . My nipples are SEVERLY cracked . Bleeding scabbing ECT. Any of you mommies on here know of anything I can do to help the healing process ? I've been speaking with a Lactationist and she has me only pumping right now . She said my nipples should have healed after 48 hrs and they still havnt . I've been using lanolin & also she prescribed be Bactroban it's an antibiotic ointment . But omg they hurt soooo bad and I feel like there not getting any better . I really want to get back to nursing before she gets to used to the bottle so if anybody has any advice I could use it all !!!

I use coconut oil instead of lanolin. Better healing properties.

Get the cream and apply hourly.  Try a nipple shield if desperate.  I did when I bled.

Try breastmilk on nipples. It heals so much better for me. After application,  allow it to dry - dont put back your nipple pad/shield/bra anything. Air it. Itll heal very soon. Seek your lactation nurse help for proper latching method. Baby mouth have to open wide with bottom lips out wards. Good luck!

It happened to me. The reason mine cracked was because I was latching my son on the wrong way...that was my first time boobiefeeding so I thought ogre had to only be on the nipple,  but I later found out with my 4th son, that the nipple is supposed to be all the way in your baby's mouth...your babies lips are supposed to be on the areola (so). I couldn't even pump because that hunted too so I gave up. Since ur baby is on the bottle for now, make sure you give your baby the bottle s that resemble your nipples. I forgot the name but it's shape isn't like the normal bottle nipple. The nipple will look more like breast. That way, your baby won't be confused
