Thank you ladies! It is nice to know there are other ladies going through the same thing. All of my other children have been born healthy by God's grace and my youngest is 17 months.  I am nervous too about having two so close in age lol. All of my children are at least 5 years apart. I pray continually for this baby's health as well as my own. God is so good and I feel so blessed to be able to carry a life. I just hope my parent's do not freak out on me, but I am anticipating their not being very supportive which adds to my stress.

I'm 39 expecting #9 in about 12 wks, my doctors freak me out also telling me that my risk is higher you will probably develop gestational diabetes etc.Well i prove them wrong sll the time. And actually a ob told me that my risk is lower of having a down syndrome baby or a disabled child because i have had 8 healthy children. Then someone else having there 1st at 39.If that makes sense. And the doctors get me paronoid that i will heomarage or something will happen to me at delivery.

I'm 37.. I'll be 38 Jan. 14. I just found out New Years Eve I was expecting.  I've thought about all these things too. But I'm staying positive and leaving it in God's hands. :)

I'm 43 and just found out I'm pregnant again. I am worried as well. It's natural.  I am only 4 weeks so I have a long time to worry. I am still in shock that I could conceive at my age! Lol

Please don't let the doctprs freak you out. I don't think our bodies would let us have babies if we were not meant to. I'll be 39 on Jan 5th, and I'm 28 weeks pregnant. I have an excellent group of physicians that are working with me, and not one made a big deal about my age. I personally declined the Down Syndrome testing because they said it won't do much but make you prepared or give you an option to do away with the birth, which I would never do. I think as long as you take your prenatals and make healthy choices, you are doing the best you can. If, for some readon, something does happen that you were not expecting, you can deal with it then. Just try to relax and ask your doctors specific questions qhen you have them.

I am 35 and worry a lot too. Not only is my age a factor, but there have been a lot birth defects throughout mine and my husband's family. I also have a son with autism.  I wish I could say not to worry. but I will say for one thing take lots of folic acid, and also that I know lots of women who were older and gave birth to very healthy babies. I myself try to think about other things, I try to learn about the issues that could come up. And I try to be positive. It also helps too to know that you are not alone in what you go through.
