So sorry to hear about your m/c,

I feel sad for you - a m/s is both emotionally and physically painful.  When I was first diagnosed with a missed miscarriage the nurse told me to come back in a week for an u/s to make sure everything had expelled.  I ended up waiting 3 weeks and finally started spotting.  About 3 days into the spotting - started bleeding (red ) and then the mid-lower back pain.  I didn't have any chest pains - but cramps worsened that I sweated from the pain of it.  The worse pains ever lasted 2 hours and then died down once the sac was expelled.  Had some cramping ( but not as bad as before )  a couple days later and a liver like clot came out. Nothing after that - just spotting getting lighter and lighter.  Hope you get over the physical pain and that you're healing emotionally.  Good luck and check out this forum as often as you can - the girls here are very supportive and I found them really comforting.

First of all, let me say that I'm so, so sorry you are going through this. It makes me beyond sad for you. {{{Terri}}}

Secondly, one of the things that kind of popped into my head reading your symptoms is that they may be related to anxiety. Which is completely understandable. But anxiety can cause chest pains, heart palpitations, upper back pain (we carry stress across our shoulder blades)...stress and anxiety can do amazing things to our bodies that we never thought of. Maybe talk to your MD about it? A mild anti-anxiety med might help temporarily!

Good luck to you, and I'm think about you...

Tricia

Sorry, another thought.  If you don't want to go to the ER, does your OB or regular Dr. have an after hours number you can call?  Also a good alternative.  Please take care of yourself.

Well, things like sore bbs are usually cause by elevated progesterone.  Thats why so many get them before AF, and of course during pregnancy.  I don't know about the sore chest though...your not having trouble breathing are you?  And with mid to upper back...that can be associated with the chest as well.

Terri, please, why don't you go to the ER.  These are not m/c symptoms I have ever heard of, and you are in pain.  Do not take chances with your health, its just not worth it.  If it turns out to be nothing, then all the better, but maybe don't wait until tomorrow.
Extra hugs,
Amanda

Terri, I am a bit worried about you.  If the pain is worse then really bad AF cramps, please get seen tonight.  I know, I tend to overthink things, and I am a worry wart.  I am sure all is fine, but its always better to be safe then sorry.  Take care, and I hope you are able to get some sleep.  ((((hugs))))

this nurse hasnt been the most sympathetic nurse...she was pretty straightforward with everything and said with how fast my levels dropped i should begin m/c in the next 24 hours

the pain is ridiculous...im going to call my doc and see what i can do...but for now i guess im gonna try to get some sleep and see how things are tomorrow

I'm so sorry your going through this.  Unfortunately, its tough for them to predict exactly when things will happen. I'm sort of surprised she gave you such an exact time frame. If you have started some bright red spotting, it may be that your body is just now recognizing it is no longer pregnant.  Typically the cramping is not extremely painful...nothing that a tylenol with codeine won't help.  If it is that bad, you may want to go to your ER.  It sounds like possibly your cervix is starting to dialate, but if you are really uncomfortable, don't sit there in pain.  They can give you meds to help things along, or if you prefer, a D&C.

Even if you decide not to go to ER, I would probably give your Dr. a call.  There is no reason to go through the extra emotional trauma a prolonged process can put you through.  There is also no reason for you to be in extreme pain.

Take care Terri.  I am thinking about you.
