Ovulation/LH test

Not sure what section this falls under.

I am 35 and we have been trying for a baby since July, and for the second month having been using LH (ovulation tests) to detect when I am going to ovulate.  This month, I have taken a test for the last 4 days (including today), and after 3-5 minutes, all of them have been positive. Is this possible? What is the longest LH tests can show positive for? Is there any chance I could be pregnant and have a positive LH test?

look forward to hearing from you.

I found the OPKs to be most useful when used at the same time each day(like after work) and I also used the same brand each month so I knew what a positive really looked like.  Everytime I tried to switch brands due to price, etc.  I'd be questioning the results the whole time so I always went back to the Clearblue Easy OPK  kits (found them to be cheapest at walmart).  Since my cycles are long I had to buy more than one kit per month.  After awhile I'd be wondering if I missed it and then BAM it would show up using those Clearblue Easy sticks - they seemed to work very good for me.  I also used BBT and that helps as well.  I would get a positive a couple days in a row but really they say to stop testing after the first positive result...as that is when you are surging.  Not sure if it really matters if you get a positive a few days in a row or not.
Good luck!!

Opk can be useful but in all honesty, I'm not a fan of them. they are so subjective and can be greatly effected by the time of day and how much fluid you have consumed or not consumed in the hours leading up to the opk.

I know I've had positve opk up to 3 days in a row.  I think what happens is you catch it on the up curve and if you urine isn't very diluted you can get a positive test for more days than expected.

I recommend using opks along with basal body temping.  There is lots of info on the net about it.  Best of luck to you!!
