Thanks! That is very encouraging to hear. We are currently on our 8th month of trying so the appointment to the re is pretty necessary at this point. It is good to hear a story from someone with pcos who got pregnant naturally so quickly.
they thought i had pcos.... but i never had irregular periods so my doc said only one way to figure out if you're infertile..... wasn't in my game plan til i was 39, we tried and it took 3 months, natural......
i had early onset insulin resistance, high bp - since age 27, cholesterol and cysts + fibroids and am (was) overweight
Thanks for your helpful suggestions. The reason I was first confussed when I searched the odds of getting pregnant with PCOS was that the main cause of the infertility is unregular or no periods therefore no ovulation. My periods are very regular and I get positive opks every month. I guess my main symptom right now is cysts on my ovaries. I guess I will have to wait until my apt with the re on the 22nd to see what he suggests. I am already trying to lose a little wait so I already have been working out and eating healthy. Thanks again!
I had secondary infertility due to PCOS. I spent 10,000 $ to get pg with my second. I started with clomid and iui and moved onto injectables where I got pg my second round. She is now 8. When she was 2 I decided to loose weight with low carb. (really the only thing that works for pcos) I did... and my period became super regular again. I got remarried and got pg the first month without even trying. (unfortanly I had a m/c) but then i got pg again before even a next period and she is now 2. the big key for PCOS fertility problems is weight loss. If you loss weight you may get pg on your own. If you loose weight and get fertility help it will be much easier to get pg. Even 10% of your body weight can make a huge difference with fertility. I suggest weight loss as your first step even if your RE puts you on fertility treatments the weight loss will help them to work better.. good luck
